Will the World End in 2010? by Raymond C. Hundley

I love stories and I love science. I love stories about science. While Will the World End in 2010? is not a novel, it does tell an interesting story. Author Raymond Hundley does a great job of reviewing the main points of the 2012 doomsday theories. He reviews areas where science poses questions or concerns about the coming years, while debunking some of the weaker claims.

The book is definitely written from a Christian perspective and the author gives his opinion of each point, but the reader is left to chose for themselves about the various claims. That is probably what I enjoyed most about the book. It was not condescending in an attempt to convince the reader of one viewpoint. The book presented ten aspects of the 2012 discussion. The author also points out that not everyone who believes something will happen in 2012 is claiming doom and destruction. Some argue that the date represents a shift in our experience that Without necessarily bringing the end of the world. The book leaves the reader with some challenging ideas and offers hope for whatever the future may bring.
