Site Blog
Updates, Smupdates
Well, the site updates have ceased again. I'm trying to keep the NanoWrimo blog updated and I hope to post a new article in the next day or two, but structural changes to the site will have to wait until my word count hits 50,000. (See my NanoWrimo blog if you don't know what I'm talking about.)
I continue to post to the "My Kids" blog since they are continually doing cool things. I also have a new plan for the "Technology" blog, but it will have to wait until I can make some site changes. Well, back to writing....
More bloggy
Lately I have been trying to finish up my studies so I can be ready for NanoWrimo. Last year I took an Oct-Nov class. This year I'll be taking a Nov-Dec class so it won't be as bad. (When the finals are due, class wins out over Nano.)
Regarding the site, I finished the framework for the "My Family" portion of the site, but I haven't added any content yet. With Nano and a class, it may be a while before I get anything good added.
The posting must continue
I hated to do it. But it had to be done. For the past few days I have been resistant to posting anything new because I did not want to bury the post about my afternoon of flying. It was definitely the highlight of the past many months and I hated for it to be buried in the archives where no one will ever find it. (Not that anyone looks at this page anyway.) Read more »
Nothing to say
As is becoming customary, I have not been updating the site lately. The main reason is that I haven't felt like writing. Perhaps soon I will break out of my slump and return to my old self. I sure hope so...
My Discovery Flight
Today was a fantastic day! I actually got to pilot an airplane. I have been researching pilot lessons and decided to take a "Discovery Flight" at the local airport. I didn't expect to get to do much other than watch and be amazed. To my surprise, the instructor said, "Why don't you give it a try?" While I didn't do much, I did get to bank a few turns while increasing and decreasing our altitude. It was certainly a fantastic experience. Now if I can just come up with the time and money for the classes...
