This is the first posting in the new faith section of my site. In the past I have debated whether to include this or not. My primary reason for not including a section on faith is that I do not want my site to turn into a place for arguing. Many religious sites that I have visited quickly turn into places for people to argue about who is right and who is wrong. That is not my desire.

However, even with the concern that postings about faith may be taken with the wrong attitude, I found that I could no longer withhold this part of me. Without speaking of my faith I do not have much to say. Without speaking of my faith I am not being true to who I am.

To my earlier point of not arguing, the words of the apostle Paul ring in my ears:

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn't need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth. But avoid irreverent, empty speech, for this will produce an even greater measure of godlessness.
2 Timothy 2:15-16 (HCSB)

So if you find a posting here that you wish to comment on, please do. However, post every comment with a respect for each other as people - all on a journey of faith.
