Waking the Dead was a very thought-provoking book. John Eldridge does a great job of motivating the reader to evaluate their life. The premise of the book is the phrase "The glory of God is man fully alive." The quote is attributed to Irenaeus and is the foundation of the book.

Throughout the book Eldridge challenges the reader to evaluate ways in which our lives have become mundane and overwhelmed. The book concludes with some very challenging thoughts about spiritual warfare. Overall, this was a very good read and it challenged me in my spiritual life.
