Working at Chick-fil-A

Today was a crazy day. I had to go into town twice to see about getting our van fixed. On the second trip Jaden volunteered to go with me. After getting the van situated I went to the mall to get a hair cut. On the way Jaden mentioned food and asked for Chick-fil-A. Since I was getting my hair cut at the mall, we ate at the Chick-fil-A in the food court.

It is always difficult to know what Jaden is thinking until he tells you. At one point in the dinner conversation Jaden said, "Didn't you work at Chick-fil-A?" I answered that I did work there when I was in college. Jaden replied, "I want to work at Chick-fil-A when I grow up."

"Did mama work there too?" Jaden asked, after a moment of reflection.

"No."

"Where did she work?"

"She worked at a cleaners; where they clean clothes." I was not sure he would know what a "dry cleaners" was.

Jaden's reply was thoughtful and cute: "Oh, so that's how she knows how to do all that stuff."
